About M H Coles Chimney Sweeping
Coles Chimney Sweeping is a family run business started in the late 70’s by my father, Martin Coles, and his Wife, Shirley, when they moved down to Taunton, Somerset. My father did the sweeping while my mother ran the office, taking phone calls and making bookings.
I (Joe) enjoyed joining my father when I was younger, especially in the winter months when business was at it’s busiest and eventually worked for the business full time in the 2000’s. When my mother retired my sister took over the admin side of things, helping to keep the business in the family, then in 2023 my daughter also joined us to manage the office along with my sister.
My father fully retired from sweeping chimneys in 2014 and I have subsequently been joined in the business by my two sons, continuing the family trade to the 3rd generation.
